Assalamualaikum. Salam Jumaat ~ : ) Dear all Readers.
Today I want to share with you about the benefits of apricot seeds.
As we all know, apricot seeds is very good for our health.

.............

Apricot seeds are obtained from the pulpy, golden-yellow fruit of the apricot tree (Prunus armeniaca L.).
The apricot is native to China, where its seeds have been
used for centuries for both nutritional and medicinal purposes.
You can obtain a number of benefits by ingesting apricot seeds.
It is vital, however, to consult with a licensed nutritionist or
health care practitioner before taking apricot seeds for medicinal purposes.

Tonic Food

According to Dr. Hu Shiu-ying, a research scientist at Harvard University, apricot seeds are valued as a tonic food for the respiratory tract and immune system. In her book,
"Food Plants of China," she writes that apricot seeds
support the functioning of the lungs and other respiratory organs. Ingesting these seeds also helps to replenish the immune system and prevent disease.
Shiu-ying notes that when taken as a tonic,
apricot seeds are prepared and administered in the form of a beverage or gruel.

Alleviate Constipation

Apricot seeds help to relieve constipation, according to Joseph P. Hou, Ph.D., and Youyu Jin, a professor at Capital University, Beijing. In their book, "The Healing Power of Chinese Herbs and Medicinal Recipes," they write that the kernels of these seeds have potent laxative properties that moisten fecal matter and promote bowel movements. They also note that a widely used, traditional Chinese remedy for constipation is a decoction prepared from both apricot seed kernels and peach seed kernels.

Source of Vitamin B17

Apricot seeds contain a high concentration of vitamin B17, also called amygdalin, a nutrient that is believed to be beneficial in the treatment and prevention of cancer.
In the book, "Staying Healthy With Nutrition," Elson M. Haas, M.D.,
medical director of the Preventive Medical Center in California,
writes that the main benefit associated with vitamin B17 is in the treatment of cancer, particularly to reduce the size of tumors and prevent their
spread to healthy tissue. He notes that it also has analgesic properties
that help to alleviate the severe pain associated
with the cancerous process. Other reported benefits for this
vitamin are in the treatment of rheumatism and high blood pressure.

In their book, "The Patient's Internet Handbook,
" Robert Kiley and E. Graham write that three to
seven apricot seeds a day is the dosage recommended by folk healers to treat cancer.
They caution against ingesting larger amounts, because
cyanide levels in the seeds' kernels may be toxic and harmful to your health.
